COURSE STRUCTURE

Your Body Athletica Reformer Teacher Training consists of the following:

  • 20 hours pre course observation via attending reformer classes either online or in person at a studio near you.
  • 40 hours self paced study of the online modules, exercise videos and manual review.
  • 20 hours self mastery practice.
  • 10 hours practice teaching friends or family.
  • Online multiple choice assessment.
  • 25 hours face to face practical hands on learning.
  • 1 practical teaching assessment submitted either face to face or via video submission or zoom.


Internationally Accredited Training


Our teacher training in registered with International Sports Science Association (ISSA) so you can be sure that you’re receiving an internationally recognised qualification that allows you to teach anywhere in the world.

Will I have support?

When can I start?

Start anytime! Want the choice of flexibility so you can choose your own start date and work at your own pace? With our online modules you can begin your training anytime.


How long does the course take?

That depends on you. You can work as fast as you want or take your time. But you have about 100 hours of learning ahead of you. Don’t stress!! You have 6 months unlimited access to your online learning portal.


What are the prerequisites?

  • Anatomy certificate of completion or previous anatomy study
  • Pilates Mat Certification is a prerequisite for Pilates Reformer enrolment.


To prepare for your course we suggest you attend at least 20 Pilates classes in person or online.


How is the course structured?

Your course will involve a blend of online self paced study and face to face elements:

  • Online self paced study via our online learning portal.
  • Self paced personal mastery.
  • Practice teaching friends and/or family.
  • 3 days face to face practical learning.
  • 2 assessments.


Assessment:

  1. One online multiple choice exam
  2. One practical assessment completed via either face to face, zoom or video submission whereby you will teach a short 20 minute class covering at least 6 exercises.


In general: Your course is structured with a mix of theory, training modules, class planning, self-mastery, hands on practice teaching and assessment.
