Course Structure
Our online Pilates matwork teacher training course take you through 150 hours of our pilates party! Just so you know whats involved lets take a quick look.
- 20 hours of pre-course pilates classes / observation hours (online or in a studio near you)
- 50 hours face to face contact (25 Matwork and 25 Reformer delivered in Bali)
- 25 hours of anatomy online self study via our online student portal
- 25 hours or repertoire self-study via our online student portal
- 30 hours of teaching practice.
- 1 hour of assessment (both online quizzes and video recording submission.
Internationally Registered Training
Our teacher training in registered with International Sports Science Association (ISSA) so you can be sure that you’re receiving an internationally recognised qualification that allows you to teach anywhere in the world.

Body Athletica was founded by Julia Bauer an Australian Pilates and Barre instructor who has taught Pilates and barre all around the world and is passionate about transforming people's lives and EMPOWERING them to create a life they love.
Together with her highly experienced team of trainers along with partner studios, Body Athletica delivers fun, affordable and effective teacher training courses for everyone.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the training held?
Your retreat will be held in Canggu right in the middle of amazing beaches, food and nightlife.
We partner with both Sunset Pilates Berrawa and Revive and Pilates Studios in Canggu. So days will be split up between the two studios as well as in Villa matwork days to enjoy the pool.
When can I start?
Start anytime! Once you enrol you get instant access anywhere in the world to your learning portal enabling you to begin studying immediately to ensure you complete all your pre study before arriving in Bali.
Do you offer accommodation packages?
No we don’t. We find that many of our students come to Bali before their courses and stay after their courses and prefer to find their own accommodation. BUT we can definitely give you advice of where to stay so you’re just a walk or scooter ride away.
What are the prerequisites?
Our courses is completely comprehensive so there are no prerequisites. Your course includes your anatomy and Physiology as well as all your pilates courses work.
What should I bring?
